learning that adds moore

Our bespoke learning and coaching can include a variety of assessment tools. We deliver accredited DiSC® and Genos Emotional Intelligence programmes to support the assessment tools used.

Put simply, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a set of skills which define how effectively you perceive, understand, reason with and manage your own - and others’- feelings. And one of the great benefits of EI is that everyone can actively enhance it within themselves with remarkable results.

It is about enhancing your EI and how it can dramatically improve decisions, behaviour, and performance at work - as our moods, feelings, and emotions influence us every day. And since feelings underpin relationships and other important issues like job satisfaction, engagement and team morale, enhancing EI can produce a big effect on the bottom line.

Imagine getting ready in the morning without ever looking in a mirror. You may have one vision of your appearance in your head, but there’s no telling what you actually look like. The same goes for our behaviour. In our heads, we have an image of how our behaviour comes across to others, but none of us has the complete picture. And so there are times when we unknowingly repeat the same behaviour over and over, even though it’s completely ineffective with those around us. In many cases, we just don’t realise what’s going on.

Used in conjunction with the DiSC® assessment tool this course is designed to provide a framework that you can use as your behavioural mirror. It introduces you to the DiSC® model of human nature and clearly outlines some of the important ways in which you are unique.

  • Build self-awareness around your communication style
  • Appreciate the different ways in which others can interpret your behaviour
  • Get specific, safe feedback about your behaviour from others
  • Identify interpersonal behaviours that you would like to change or are your strength
  • Identify your motivators

This program used in conjunction with the DiSC® assessment tool helps you and your team pinpoint the things that drive your success as a team. You each have your own profile and we share those profiles to see how the team can capitalise on their particular communication styles and motivators in a way that makes the entire team more energised, dynamic, and successful.

  • Learn the foundations of the DiSC model and the implications of your team’s styles
  • Provides a common language to help teams understand one another and work better together
  • Appreciate that your teammates have different styles and motivational needs
  • Recognise the work environments that are particularly motivating for each of them

Even the best performers get stagnated from time to time. But before you can help them out of their rut, you need to understand the situation and why the person is having difficulty. Sometimes employees aren’t motivated or committed to the task. Sometimes they don’t have the skills or know-how.

This program used in conjunction with the DiSC® assessment tool helps you use DiSC® to read the situational needs of your key contributors and adjust your management style accordingly. You’ll learn some fundamental strategies for reading the willingness and ability of your people as well as the approaches that are most effective in each situation.

  • Use the DiSC model to gauge the needs of your key contributors
  • Identify the obstacles that are holding back better performance
  • Understand when team members are unwilling or unable on a given task
  • Find ways to help people become more efficient and satisfied in their work

It’s no secret that some of us seem to have more natural social skill than others. But the truth is that we all have our own interpersonal strengths. Truly effective people know their talents and find opportunities to maximise their skills.

This program used in conjunction with the DiSC® assessment tool helps you pinpoint your unique strengths and shows you how recognise the same in your clients and customers. This allows you to get to know your customers on a whole new level and how to get the best out of your relationship with them.

  • Recognise the diverse talents and preferences associated with each DiSC® style
  • Develop openness to interpersonal communication
  • Recognise the impact that your behaviour has on other people
  • Create specific strategies for enhanced interpersonal effectiveness with your customers and clients

  • Learn the different ways in which people react on conflict situations
  • Find your preferred strategies on situations of conflict
